Utawala Directory started as a WhatsApp group of tenants sharing vacant houses. Today it is the go-to home for verified listings, honest reviews and local news around Utawala, Nairobi.
The problem we saw
Finding a decent house or a reliable plumber in Utawala meant asking around, scrolling through noisy Facebook groups, or paying a broker for a lead that turned out to be fake. Business owners had the opposite problem — great shops nobody could find on Google Maps.
What we built
A directory that treats the neighbourhood like the community it is: verified agents, structured listings with real photos and prices, resident reviews, and a search that actually understands local landmarks like V-Mall, Naivas or Utawala Complex.
